STIRR

I just got back from STIRR (http://www.stirr.net). It was a great event with a lot of great founders & execs from a lot of prominent Web 2.0 companies. Including Photobucket, Freewebs, Sun, Meebo, Wordpress, HOTorNOT, Google, Yahoo, Jigsaw, SugarCRM.

They also had a bunch of VCs including Mayfield Fund, Intel Capital, Charles River Ventures, Gabriel Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, Blueprint Ventures, SoftTech VC, New Castle Partners, Formative Ventures, vSpring Capital, DoCoMo Capital.

Anyway, I already know I'm going to give 100% of the ad revenue to the end users who generate the content. The one idea I keep spinning in my mind is selling the shares of FileTagR for $1/share, up to 1 million shares. That way if we liquidate the company then the users win. Also if we issue dividends the users win.

The goal of FileTagR is to be disruptive to all the current generation of hosting web sites, including photo hosting, video hosting, audio hosting, general file hosting, etc.

The dedicated server is up!

I just got an email from ThePlanet saying the dedicated server is working. I logged in, ran yum -y update. Installed ruby on rails, and now I have the base system for FileTagR up. This weekend, design the logo, web site, and deploy it. Start getting traffic Monday!

Meet investors? Tomorrow!
